Ashtanga and Yin Yoga Retreat

Yoga Holiday in Ibiza (FULLY BOOKED!)
7th – 13th October 2017

Sophie and Katia are so excited to be holding their next retreat on the beautiful island of Ibiza! Join these two wonderful teachers for a week of Ashtanga and Yin Yoga, delicious organic vegetarian food and time to explore this stunning location .. or to simply relax!

Located just a short stroll down the hill to Cala San Vincente in the North of the Island our  residence is a traditional Spanish Finca with views of the rolling hills and lush greenery of Saint Vincente. The house has been the heritage of an Ibizenco family for centuries and as such has an authenticity to its homeliness which allows you to kick back, relax and unravel into its familiarity. There is also a secret beach (featured in Ibiza’s Secret Beaches book) the Tanit Caves and San Juan Sunday markets just a short drive away. This week is the perfect opportunity for experienced practitioners and those newer to the practice alike to deepen their yoga practice whilst also providing plenty of opportunity to explore, swim, eat locally sourced vegetarian food, sunbathe by the pool (or on the beach) or relax in the shade.

With two experienced teachers and a small group, this retreat is suitable for everyone from longterm practitioners to complete beginners.  Katia and Sophie love to work closely with their students, whatever their level of practice so that each person will receive a lot of personal attention, particularly in the morning guided self practice classes.  There will also be the opportunity for complete beginners or those less familiar with ‘self practice’ to attend a led class in the mornings. Katia and Sophie both share a warm, fun and passionate approach to teaching Yoga.

  • Mornings yoga sessions will be followed by a delicious brunch
  • After brunch the day is yours to explore or relax by the pool or on the beach
  • Book a massage with the excellent on site therapist (not included)
  • optional gentle late afternoon sessions are available in which we will explore techniques of the practice, yin yoga or yoga nidra
  • We will gather for a relaxed dinner each night either at the Finca or out at local restaurants.

We will gather together for a delicious brunch after our morning yoga practice and once again for a buffet style dinner. Based on fresh, local, seasonal produce – fruit, vegetables, pulses, grains, nuts, cheeses, eggs, and yogurt.  Special diets can be accommodated to on request.

The house is more than 100 years old and has a mixture of double and twin rooms with two lovely bell tents (yurts) providing additional sleeping accommodation. Bathrooms facilities are shared, and conveniently located.  The house has a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. There is also plenty of space to be by yourself and be quiet if you wish.

Yoga at the Space

LOCATION: Studland, Dorset

Following on from the success of our their last retreat weekend early this year, Helen and Sophie will be sharing another nurturing weekend immersion of asana, therapeutic yoga practice, meditation, discussion and delicious vegetarian food as we explore and celebrate the unique qualities of women both in their practice and in life. When we come together in a safe, supporting and nurturing environment something magical happens.

We begin to connect to our source, the centre of our creativity and begin to understand our power to create, nurture and honour.

Two devoted Ashtanga yoga practitioners and experienced teachers with a passion and call for bringing women of all ages, physical abilities and yoga experience levels together, we invite you to explore the feminine side of yoga practice. Over this special weekend retreat. Coming together as a group of women is vital in modern society when so much is asked of us every day…being so many things to so many people and yet we give ourselves very little internal support or nourishment. Helen and Sophie offer this weekend as a way of giving ourselves what we need.

To learn to connect with our bodies through our yoga practice enables us to begin to understand and love ourselves and when we feel nourished and connected we are more able to support those in our lives and in the wider world we live in.

More details and booking information coming soon. Please contact us if you are interested in this workshop.
